Most of you are familiar with Microneedle Radiofrequency, laser skin resurfacing, microneedling, chemical peels, and other minimally invasive cosmetic skin procedures for common skin problems such as photoaging, wrinkles, scars, or rough skin texture. These noninvasive skin treatments work by inducing controlled skin wound which is healed by your body through production of collagen and elastin. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, an innovative skin rejuvenation therapy that uses a small amount of blood drawn from you at the time of your treatment to improve your wound healing for faster healing and enhanced results.
For PRP therapy in our Dallas and Southlake cosmetic skin care offices, we draw approximately 10ml of your blood and place the sample into a centrifuge that separates the red blood cells from the valuable plasma serum, rich in platelets and growth factors. Once this serum is prepared, we will either inject it or apply it topically to your treatment area on face, hands, neck, chest wall. PRP can also be used in conjunction with fat injections or traditional fillers to give more fullness to deep wrinkles.
