Non-surgical Skin Tightening OR NovaThread Facelift, Which Treatment Is Best For YOU?

Comparison between two great cosmetic treatments; non-surgical skin tightening for face, eyes, and neck and NovaThread facelift, eyelift and necklift

Non-surgical Skin Tightening OR NovaThread Facelift, Which Treatment Is Best For YOU?

Surgical facelifts is a major surgical procedure that requires general anesthesia with all its risks, extensive downtime and sometimes less than desired irreversible results. Fortunately cosmetic medicine today offers ma number of non-surgical skin tightening and skin “lifting” treatment options. In fact, with all the new non-surgical facelift treatments, it is confusing for most people to figure out which treatment is best for their needs.
We are going to compare two of our favorite non-surgical skin tightening and lifting treatments to help you understand the differences between these two treatments.

Microneedle Fractional Radiofrequency(MFR)

Our patient, before and after a series of three MFR + PlasmaGenesis treatments, individual response varies

Microneedle Fractional Radiofrequency (MFR) delivers fractional radiofrequency into the middle dermis (deeper layer of skin) with very fine insulated microneedles for tightening of existing collagen and induction of new collagen synthesis. MFR Non-surgical face and neck tightening treatment is best for individuals with mild sagging, thinning skin, deep scars, wrinkles, and folds.
During the Cosmetic Surgery and Aesthetic Dermatology 2016 meeting, injectable radio-frequency was presented as the most effective treatment for non-surgical skin tightening by Jason D. Bloom, M.D., a facial plastic surgeon.

NovaThread Non-surgical Facelift and Necklift

Our patient, before and immediately after NovaThread Facelift and Juvederm Volbella XC undereye treatment, individual response varies

NovaThreads are PDO absorbable sutures preloaded onto sterile needles and blunt cannulas for insertion into the skin for an instant “lift” with “barb” sutures followed by a gradual improvement of tone & texture with the “twist” and “smooth” sutures. PDO sutures are safe and have been used for cardiothoracic surgery for years. PDO has the ability to generate collagen via “Selective Inflammatory Response” or controlled healing. It is the principle behind a lot of non-surgical cosmetic treatments. NovaThreads are used for face, neck, eyelids and other areas of the body such as knees and upper arms. The entire treatment for facelift takes about 30 minutes and is invasive as dermal fillers. The results last between 12-18 months due to your collagen regeneration.

MFR Non-surgical Skin Tightening Or NovaThreads?

Generally, we use MFR for those with thinning skin and mild sagging as a stand alone treatment and NovaThreads in those individuals with a little more than mild sagging of otherwise thick and firm skin.

Combining MFR Non-surgical Skin Tightening and NovaThreads

Our patient, before and after NovaThread facelift. She had a series of three MFR treatments before her NovaThread Facelift, individual response varies

We often use NovaThreads AFTER improving skin thickness and firmness with a series of MFR treatments to lift the residual sagging in our patients with less firm, thinner skin. Improving skin thickness and firmness improves the outcome of your NovaThread treatment due to a better “bite” of the barb sutures which are used for instant lift.
